Extra-curricular programs at Chester College of New England are designed to enhance and enrich the learning experience. Students are expected to be active members of the campus community, both in and out of the classroom. The Student Life office is organized to help facilitate numerous student programs and activities that complement the classroom experience and that provide positive creative, cultural, athletic and social activities for all students.

The Coordinator of Student Activities, in consultation with the Student Government, plans and schedules activities and events for the academic year.

The activities calendar offers numerous events ranging from dramatic performances, ski trips, art and photography exhibits, dances, pool and chess tournaments, trips to the beaches and mountains, craft nights and alternative spring break trips through the Serve and Learn Project.

Sports activities are informal; there are no varsity athletics. The College's extensive campus provides students with ample space for such sports as flag football, soccer, volleyball; nature walks down the College's own nature trails. There are basketball courts on campus for use by all members of the College community.

Residential life on campus is designed to foster the atmosphere of family living. A residential director is responsible for helping to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the residents. The residences are also staffed with resident assistants who are upper classman. This student leader understands what it is to be a student and helps to bridge any gaps between the students, faculty, staff and administration.

In addition to the numerous activities available on campus, the surrounding environment provides students with tremendous recreational opportunities. Chester College of New England is situated in an area that is resplendent with natural beauty. Massabesic Lake is nearby which features sailboats in the warmer weather months and ice fishing huts in the winter. Within an hours' drive are the picturesque White Mountains. Forty minutes away are New Hampshire's sandy beaches. Within an hour further up north, Portland, named as one of the top 25 art cities in the country. Boston, with its clubs, museums, and galleries, lies within an hour to the south.
